You probably already know, but the girls are over in Weed, California, with producer
Sylvia Massy Shivy (Prince, Tool, System of a down, Johnny Cash, Seigmen) recording their second album. In a mail, Solvor confirms to me that it sounds great already! See the diary over at Furia.no where you can read all about the recording. The album is due out in August. :)

You may have read it already, but Furia has signed a deal with EMI Germany and will be releasing "...And Then We Married the World" in August in all of Europe. Their next album will be out sometime in the first half of 2006. EMI has commited itself yo make Furia a household name in Europe within two years! And now we can't wait for the rest of the story! Congrats to the girls for being patient and working so hard!

Yes, I am one lucky bastard. Before the weekend, I got to listen to a completely new song called "Maybe" and it sounded amazing! It was a lot more like the "old" Furia; darker and more melancholic. It starts out like a ballad, and ends in loudness. Rumours also say that there is lot going on towards the german marked - so friends of Furia in Germany: Keep your fingers crossed!

New version of the site today. Still keeping it simple, I don't feel the need to complicate things. I guess it must be version number seven or eight this time - if not number ten! Still going somewhat strong, 5 years running... Wow! Maybe I should celebrate the anniversary this November somehow? We'll see...And from now on FanFuria.com will be in english - only!. Just like Furia.no. It's just easier to maintain the site that way. Even though I'm not that of an ace in english...;) As I'm on holiday right now, the site will not be fully translated or fully updated for still some time. But until then: enjoy! PS! And yes: Furia is working in the studio now, with Frode from Madrugada as producer...I can't wait to hear the results, and I bet you can't too...;-)

On the 25th of November, Furia will play the club "Blå" in Oslo for a small crowd. Only 250 tickets for sale (www.billettservice.no / NOK 70), but also some invited people. This will be the last gig the band do in Norway before christmas.

It's been another good month for the girls, 98 % positive reviews for the album and more so for their concerts so far. Right now the album is holding a 36th place on the official Top 40 album list, rising from the 38th place last week and being out of the list for one week before that. It seems the touring is rising the sales, no wonder!

Awright!!! Good reviews and a lot of attention this past week. TV-shows, heavy rotation on radio (album of the week on national radio P3) and a busy time for our girls. The album is already getting rave reviews and we're looking forward to getting in some more. All the reviews we've seen so far (the record is being released tomorrow) has received the score of 5 out of 6... These girls can't do no wrong! The forthcoming single "Superlove Vibrations" has been A-listed on norwegian national radio (NRK Petre). The gig in Washington DC, US, will take place at the Black Cat as a part of the norwegian culturalfestival Christmas At Union Station. Fellow norwegians Minor Majority and blues man Bjørn Berge wil also be playing.

Listen up! The record is due out sometime i January in Norway and a single may be out in December. A count of 14 songs is recorded, but only 10 will make it to the album. Also; Furia is paying the U.S. a visit in December! A gig in Washington D.C. the 8th of December + a gig in New York one of the following days. We're not sure of the places yet, but we'll hopefully let you know soon.

I'm sorry about not updating this site as much, but the time - the time just slips away! ;) I'm planning to do some real makeover sometime this fall, but I can't say when just now. What's been going on in the Furia headquarters, you say? First of all - the EP sold extremely well and made gold sertification in Norway!!! The girls have also been doing some touring (you've got to be kidding...;) and has (yes!!!) recorded the forthcoming album, to be released in early 2003! Oh yes, now we're talking!

The EP debuted last week on Norways most important record sales list, Topp 20, and stays there this week. The song "Right on time" is getting massive airplay on P3 (the leading radiostation) because of it's listing on heavy rotation. The band also did one of their best gigs ever Saturday, supporting the famous french band Noir Desir at the club Cosmopolite in Oslo. That gig completed a three week tour the band has done all over Norway, concentrating on the northern part. Frontpages and on average mighty coverage in the biggest newspapers and magazines has also been one ingrediens in the life of Furia lately. We want to remind you that you still can buy the EP from Zailor, a norwegian internet record shop who ships overseas. You can also listen to some of Furia's music here.

Ok, boys and girls. There is a lot of things going on in the Furia-camp. First of all, there is the EP that will be released in Norway in February/March 2002. It seems there will be 4 songs, and the EP will be released with or without a record company's support (though there's talking...). Second, Furia will be playing at the most important music mess in world, MIDEM, on the 20th of January along with 11 other norwegian big artists. But as the only unsigned band! MIDEM is focusing on the norwegian musicscene this year, and this will be an excellent opportunity for the girls to show the world what they're made of. Third, on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of February the girls are invited as special guests for norwegian megapopstar Morten Abel at his concerts at Folken in his hometown Stavanger. A great honour and another wonderful opportunity. Upon this, a tour will take place around the country following the release of the EP. Furia is one of the hottest names is norwegian music right now, and fanfuria.com is convinced that 2002 will be Furia's year! Fasten your seatbelts!

Well, let me just tell you that the new stuff is awesome! And off course it is, they're just getting better and better. The songs I got to hear was a lot more pop-orientated than a lot I've heard before, but it worked. The radiostations will love those songs and that is off course good, because it will get a lot more people into the music. But first the girls will have to release something! In the first week of September, the band will join producer K-re Vestrheim in the studio for some more recordings. Hopefully it will lead to something... I hear rumours that the band will go on tour in Germany and Switzerland, (I think) but don't hold me on that.

Furia has now started out on the ZOOM 01 TOUR which will take them all around Norway and to several clubs in England and Scotland. The tour started out in Harstad and will end in Trondheim the 31st of March. By then they will have played, among others, The Barfly Club in London. Rumours says that norwegian music radio channel P3 (Petre) is begging to play Furia. But for now they won't get the chance.... The time will come and our girls will reign! Furia has played concerts in Levanger, Ås and Drammen and the reports is that they off course were marvelous! Yours truly is up in the clouds in anticipation over the forthcoming concert at Kroa the 4th of November. The band is also playing in Oslo at John Dee the 27th of October and is also appearing as special guests for Emmerhoff & The Melancholy Babies at So What! the 31st of October.
